PRO QUADS-clean
#2
You just spray some "superclean or Grease Remover, and you will take all of the grease/dirt off of your quad, then if there is some dirt left, all you do is whip it off...for the plastic i imagine they just polish it up with some plastic polish or maybe even wd40 like me. The tires, they probably spray that tire polish on them, it makes them look brand new

Those machines show up in their pristine condition for at least two reasons. One, the psychological advantage of showing up "dressed for the big game", and two, the need for ultimate reliability. If you clean every part of your quad, you touch and inspect every part of your quad. What better way to identify potential problems before they send your from first to last on the final lap?

I do believe the mechanics take the entire quad apart after each race. Allowing them to clean each part.
Last year when Spader was at our series final race (Southwick MA), his mechanic put in 4 clutches. One before each moto.
This year, Spader again showed up for our final race. His rode his practice quad, but the entire time before the race his mechanic was working on the quad. Even on the starting line.
That is why the Pro's have full time mechanics. They take everything apart and replace items as need or at their will. Sponsers are the key here. Some pros get say 10 sets of tires for the year. After each race, they simply put a new set on.
Time and money. That is what the pro's have that I do not.
