My name is Brad 32yrs old, I live in Anchorage, Alaska. Own a 98 Sportsman 500 and a 95 Honda 300. The SP500 has a K&N filter and a Warn 2000 winch and soon to have a new set of tires. Rode dirt bikes for many yrs until I found out 4-wheelers are a lot less painful. Enjoy riding around the many trails up here. I would say we have more miles of trails than highways. Lots of good mud and steep climbs to keep it interesting. Most of the people I ride with all have 4x4 quads because that is the only way to get through this kind of terrain.
I pull a trailer with an 85 Blazer (full-size). Nothing fancy on the truck just a new motor last year. It does the job which is hauling my toys out to the playground.
Riding year around is easy to do except 6 months is plowing snow. An easy way to ride around the neighborhood without the police pulling you over just tell them you are plowing driveways.

HI!
I like this idea, but the thread is becoming awfully long. Maybe someone should create another category?
I hope this isn't meant for you guys in the States only, but anyway, my name is Stadler le Roux; I'm 39 yrs old and I live in Cape Town, South Africa. I've had nothing to do with quads (always regarded them as rich men's toys) until I won a Trail Blazer in a competition at an outdoor and adventure expo last November. Imagine being called on Monday morning and told that you've won such a world of fun! I've even started going to gym to become fitter to get more use and pleasure out of riding!
I normally ride in an area about 10 miles outside Cape Town (it's the only area I actually know about at the moment), but I would love to start riding in hare scrambles and off-road races, even though I'll probably leave my quad stock. I don't want to race to win, just to have new places where I can legally ride. I guess that's the kind of guy who irritates the hell out of you serious racers out there because they are always in the way, right!?
I have a home-built trailer (built by my brother) which I tow with a '92 Opel Rekord 380 GSi . I don't know if there is an equivalent for it in the States, but if there is, it will be a Chevy.
Stadler le Roux

If anyone goes this far on this thread they must care so here goes....
Chris Planinshek
Live in S.E. Idaho
33 yrs. old, married w/3 (11, 10, & 8)
I have a great choice of areas to ride - desert, dunes, high mountains, and mud (seasonal...gotta have rain for mud.)
I'm a salesman - yeah baby, yeah!
Ive been riding for about a year. I ride a '00 Polaris Explorer 400 4x4. It works great for what I do with it.
Previous rides - whatever I could manage to borrow.
I tow with a '99 Suburban with a $200.00 Wal-Mart trailer....hey, it works.
Plan on outfitting the whole family with quads (cha-CHING!!) I've found nothing better for clean, quality family entertainment.
Show the rest of us that you care - make the post here if you havent already.
