my polaris was tough, so i got no complaints
now if they bought the words 'lightweight' or 'easy to work on', now then i'd be a little pissed

I would guess it only helps if we click the link and go to the website.

Sorry, I didnt intend to offend, Its just that there is no limit to marketing, If its good for the site than great. companies anymore are getting ruthless, I go to my local dealer to pick up a pair of gloves and instead of just forkin over $30.00 they ask me what brought me in, where i live, my home phone yatta yatta yatta. I ask the guy, 'why do you need all that, I just want to buy the gloves" he says I have to put this in to ring it up. I politely say "I understand that you guys want to know where your clientell is and get a database for them but I dont want to be in it" I could go on and on but it just advertising and marketing has become so useless on television and newpaper adds that they go straight into our private lives to get their research info.
Sorry, not trying to start a rant over this, again if its good for the site then you have my vote. Just a pet peev of mine.
HMMMM, I wonder who will buy out the word eyecandy? or is that two words?

This whole Polaris word buying thing started right after Polaris introduced their new line-up for '06. I objected to it on the grounds that it looks like I'm the one making the link, when I'm not. I don't have a problem with selling advertising, it's part of what keeps a site, magazine, etc. running. So I will go out of my way to make sure that I don't use the bought word. Of course all of the talk has gotten people to click the link and go to their site, which is the whole goal. Most businesses don't see anything negative. Even bad press is good. Gets people talking about your product. How many people went out and bought "The DiVinci Code" because of all the stuff going on around it?

Its called contextual advertising. Something new they and we wanted to try out. On Jan 1, 2006 those links will all go away. Its only temporary.
Also, if you hover your mouse over the word tough it does say "sponsored Ad"
And thank you all so much for putting all the words tough in here because it drives up the impression count! LOL
