I'm looking into buying a GPS unit. I want one that can average my speed and tell me max speed for distance traveled. I would like to be able to plot a least 10 trails. Any recommendations? Thanks, Scott.

I have a Garmin GPS 12. It does all those things and more. It can plot 20 routes with up to 30 waypoints per route, plus many more bells & whistles I haven't even figured out yet. It fixes positions much faster than the Magellan, which I also own & is much easier to operate. If you plan to mount one on your quad, I'd suggest you read my post of 9/13 entitled "GPS Turning Off?" under Hondas, Utility quads, & other headings. It covers a problem common to other units as well.
The Garmin GPS 12 sells for about $150 thru Cabela's & elsewhere.
