powdercoating is about the best thing you can do to your frame if you are going to abuse it. Altough it will crack off if abused too much. Powdercoating is a powder that is electrically charged onto your metal, and then it is baked at a high temp. And the turn out is a paint that is very similar to a thin layer of colored glass. You can get almost any color you want. They have home powder coating that you use your oven to do it.....but most compaines aren't all that expensive, and offer more colors, and do quality work. I suggest it, if you plan to keep your bike for a while, if not.....then I'd just paint it.

Power coating kits are cheap. But then you have to have an oven big enough to hold the part you just power coated to melt the power coating. They are not cheap. And a regular oven is not going to cut it for a frame.

i work in a factory and we do all the powder coating in house so i can bring anything i want there and have it powder coated i just make sure it is clear of all oils and paint and just very clean. but if i was you i would start checking into if you got any local factories that do their own powder coating you could maybe give them a call and offer 50 bucks and they would probably put it on the rack and do it for ya. i just did my stand for my dirtbike and well with it being throwen around and stuff it dosn't even have a nick in it yet.

powdercoating kits are pretty cheap however you also need an oven. Ovens are extremely expensive if you plan to do parts that will not fit in a kitchen oven. send me a message and let me know what parts you want done and i will work you out a price if you are interested
