My friend has a modded 470cc YFZ450. I don't know how much horsepower that thing has, but it sure is fast! Well, my dad has a 1982 fiber glass body metallic midnight-blue Corvette Stingray, all stock, and my friend said that he could take that Corvette on for a 300ft drag any day, any time on a pave road stretch. LOL. I just laughed because there is snow everywhere and he told me to ask my dad if he wanted to race. I was like quote, "aight!" (thinking to myself, 'next summer.') Do you think the 470cc YFZ450 could possible have a chance? I couldn't find a turbo by just looking at the Corvette's engine, but on the side of the Corvette, it says 'TURBO, CROSS-FIRE INJECTION.'

 

yes ur friend is right he can win because the yfz has less wieght and the accelartion is outstanding even if its stock but once u go past maybe 400ft the vette will catch up.

 

Not to sure about your friends 470. But a properly setup 470 would be all that Vette would want in 300ft. I can assure you. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

Do you think a stock one could take on that Corvette? And, what is the displacement for a Corvette (just wondering)?

 

why don'y you ask your dad what his car's displacement is? and its probably a 350

the 350 puts out alot of power...I have one in my camaro...but it by no means will take a quad in 300 feet...
