Default Cleaning an ATV HELP

Okay, I just bought an atv from a buddy of mine and it has dried clay and mud all over the engine and undercarriage.
I got the thick stuff off but now it seems as if the rest is "baked" on. What would be the best solution to clean this crap off? It really makes the bike look like crap and it's not even a year old.

Thanks

Mine was kinda like that... we took mine to a car wash. The kind where you would wash it yourself. It worked pretty good.

I warm ours up, wet it, spray it down with simple green or the likes. Let it sit a few minutes and start wiping it with a rag. Usually takes majority of it off. After hosing it down, I spray it down with wd-40 and wipe off the excess.

Agreed, thats what we normally do on our way home from riding. It gets the big stuff off anyway.

I went today and bought some super clean from wal-mart. I am going to give it a try later this evening. Will let everyone know how it works!

Thanks for the replies!
