Went down to the camp today and made the rounds of my stands - Deer season starts Saturday and used that as the excuse to my wife to get out and about.

Didn't hit any jumps, didn't have anyone with a radar gun clocking me, didn't have anyone checking to see what brand ATV I was riding or even counting how many wheels I had or didn't have.

All I did was ride in the river bottoms by myself for a few hours. I'd stop occasionally and shut her off. I just listened to the silence while I enjoyed the beauty around me.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is one of the reasons I love these expensive toys of ours so much.

Sorry if this bores anyone - was just hoping to share a little something that maybe won't turn into anything controversial! Have a great one.

I hear ya. I do the same thing. Out by my lonesome just buzzing around. Though sometimes there is this little voice in my head saying, "You are all alone don't go to far or ride into deep mud/snow and get stuck!"
