XM or Sirus
#2
It all depends what you're into. XM is more talk radio and Sirius is more music. Both have major sports that they sponser; XM has MLB and NHL as well as Nascar while Sirius has NFL and NBA. I have an XM and I love it because I listen to a lot of sports talk and the Opie and Anthony Show. As far as them cutting out, it's going to happen but only if the signal is blocked. I've never driven in any valleys, but I don't think it would cut out.

HAd XM and it was cool. It would go out every now and then, but we live in mountains and stuff, so to be expected. I liked the Sirus comedy and music channels alot better, but XM had better sprots. Big baseball fan, so that was huge plus for XM. Depends what you like. Either way though, but good tools!!!

I heard the O&A show on my friends XM and right away that influenced my descision on which company to go with. It's by far the funniest talk show I have ever heard.

I drove from Ft Myers, Fla to Detroit and never lost a signal on my XM. As was said earlier...Opie and Anthony (and their sidekick Jimmy Norton) are beyond belief. They also have other guest comics on when Jimmy is gone on other gigs...and they are all funny as hell cause its unscripted remarks etc. I can't imagine Howard Stern every being able to compete with them in terms of making you laugh and chuckle. The music channels on XM are as good as I could ever ask for, and I would have to say that there must be a reason XM has twice as many subscribers as Sirrus. However....Sirrus does offer a lifetime subscription for $500....but thats only for the lifetime of the unit for which you gave them the serial number. Technology is bringing in better units that would make your old unit obsolete in a couple years. XM already has the skyfi2 which has the stock ticker and some type of instant replay for the last half hour or so. XM units are supposedly smaller than Sirrus also. I think I paid $450 for a 5 year subscription for my truck because I already know that I cannot live without it. I know that because at work I'm in a company car without my satellite radio and was going nuts....so I bought a boombox unit and plugged it into the cigarette lighter of the car, and now I have my XM at work as well as outside of work. I am a much happier person as a result and I'm not getting pissed off at hearing all the same commercials etc etc all day long on the regular FM radio. Hard to believe your life can be so much better for less than $10 a month....
