On the weekends that I can't ride, I enjoy playing Motocross Madness on my PC. Does anyone know of any similar game that features quads rather than dirt bikes?

wvblaster, This is weird! I was just going to post this same question here. I've spent two hours this morning on various search engines looking for quad racing games. I read about one in DW (I think) several months ago but can't remember the name of it or who sells it. I am going to email DW to see if they have any info on it

I'm not sure if its still happening, but at one time one was in the works, and they had Tim Farr actully ride for whomever was making it to get the movements down so they could make it realistic. Whether they are still doing it or not, I'm not sure.

I've been wondering the same thing, but in the meantime, I'll be playing MotoRacer2.

 

Motocross Madness is a great game. I downloaded a demo of a game called Edgar Torentelli's Motocross (I will get the exact name later). It is a 34 MB file, slit up into 4 downloads. The only reason I downloaded it was because I have an ISDN line. If you use a regular modem, don't download it, just buy the full version! It is sweet. Even more realistic than Motocross Madness. Microsoft is releasing Motocross Madness 2 in March of '00, and from the pictures I've seen, it is going to be a ton better. An enduro mode is going to be added.

 

Where did you download that game(above post)? I'd like to download it. All Dirt Wheels said about an ATV MX game was "...and we've even heard rumors that there is a quad game in the making", that's all. They were talking about dirt bike MX games, and they said that somewhere in the few paragraphs. I can see a "Quad Wars 64" being made, but something like an "EA Sports' ATV racer" would be better(true racing). A real project, a pretty hard one, would be to try to make a woods racing game. All those trees, logs, etc... If someone makes one with suspension effects, good sound, smooth framerate, and good graphics...

Also, December 6th, EXCITEBIKE 64 comes out! Ya know, the nintendo legendary dirt bike game.

MotoRacer was my favorite, then MotoRacer2. When I got my hands on Motocross Madness, I almost quit going outside. Extreme Biker is another good one. I like it about the same as Motocross Madness, but I only have the demo if EB. It was around 78mb where I got it a while back.

Motocross Madness 2 looks fantastic. I can't wait to get my hands on it. The graphics look terrific. I hope the crashes, the way the human moves in the crashes, are as good as Extreme Biker.

BTW-Here is a screen shot of Motocross Madness 2, stop drooling!
