Should I trade wheels and tires?
#1
What do you guys think? I have the opportunity to trade my 12" wheels with 26"tires in for a new set of 14" wheels and a new set of 27" tires for my King quad. Both sets are ITP c-series type seven black wheels and ITP mudlite XTR redials. Therefore, the only thing I would be changing is the size. I am not running any kind of lift kit and I am going to be doing the High Lifter springs sometime later this week or the first of next week. I use my King for hunting, trail riding, light farm use (pull trailer) and to ride the little ones around (the most fun part of it all). I am in no way a mudded. I will not drive around mud holes but I do not have any plans of seeing how stuck I can get.
I like my set I have now but have wondered how the 27" on 14" wheels would do. Since there is less tire on the 27" set. Does that = lighter weight or heaver weight?
I just like the look of the massive wheels with the 14" kit. I was worried about wear on the bike with the larger tire / wheel kit. Has anyone seen anything like this that I should be concerned about with the larger kit?
Thanks for the replies. :tu2:
