I met Rusty Wallace about a month ago and thought he was awesome! Granted, I have been a Rusty fan for over 10 years now, so I was in awe as it was.

My guys have been Rusty and Dale Jr. for some time now, with Rusty gone, I think it might be Dale Jr. and Truex as the guys I mainly root for. We'll see. I hate being a Jr. fan because about everyone else is, he seems to be the "main streem" guy to root for. I've liked him since before he was in the Busch series.

I like a LOT of the racers, but I pick my favorites by there personalities and driving style. I look for guys that can win on any type of course like I said before, I like aggresive drivers, and they have to be themselves. I think Stewart is the best driver out there tho, he can wheel anything like him or not. I've seen him race dirt track around here to.

And I am like Raptory, I like to see different winners.

I seen Rusty in North Carolina 2 years ago. My husband and I went down there for vacation and we were checking out all the shops, Rusty flew in on his helicopter. There were like 4 kids standing by the gate asking for autographs, and he walked the other way trying to hide behind people so they couldn't even take a picture of him.

That sux when a celeb won't give you the time of day. I had a chance to talk to him for a few, but before that I was by the door he walked thru, and he was already past me when I said hey Rusty, and he took the time to turn around and shake my hand and say hey, how are you.

that's cool, maybe he was just having a bad day when I seen him. It just bothers methat he couldn't even wave at the kids.

Oh I agree with you and don't think highly of it either, but I could see how it would be easy to act a little "selfish" on accident when you virtually have no time to yourself. At least now a days in Nascar.

Not only do they race for most of the year, but they have a ton of....

-testing
-time at the shop
-autograph sessions arounf the country
-sponsor obligations
-TV obligations
-interviews
-fund raisers
-etc.

......to take care of. As much as I dream about being a Cup racer, I don't know if it would be all that enjoyable anymore. All the veterans retiring even say they don't want to quit racing, but they are tired of the grueling schedule.
