I have t admit, he did a good job to come back and finish where he did. However, I don't think he is in the top ten as far as driving ability goes. There are so many good drivers anyone'd rather see win. And a lot of long shots I'd rather see beat Gordon. I just don't see him winning the cup this year. Maybe he will. Who knows? Even if he does, we'll talk bad about him til next year and after the opening race, someone will put a thread on here entitled "I hate Jeff Gordon Because....." Then we'll all reply.........

I wouldn't call him an unskilled driver, maybe just a little unskilled in his own PR.
Sadly, it's not always the good drivers who determine how a race will turn out. We all know what one bad move at Talladega can do to the whole pack.

Because he is such an advertising tool. Come on....how many drinks of Pepsi should a guy be taking during an interview . Although I am not a 24 fan, anyone that knows their NASCAR should realize he is one of the best drivers to ever strap in a stock car. The best ever was that guy that drove the 3 car....to bad we had to loose him and Adam Petty before safer walls were introduced.

And you do have to be a great driver to win races. Granted, a lot of it has to do with set-up, but you still have to be very talented to win consitantly. Give a guy like Tony Stewart a 5th place car for example, he is probably going to win the race.

I don't like Jeff Gordon because I overheard him rooting for another driver in the bathroom,
"c'mon Dick Trickle!" And thats the reason his wife left him

being a heavy gordon fan i have to laugh at yall, i happen to think that every one has their bad years and the fact that he is one of the best drivers that has ever been in nascar. i think the reason yall don't like him is because he is just that good.

I dont think people hate 24 cause hes good. #3 was dam good, and he never got the type of all around hate Gordon gets. All Big E's hate was focused on race day shenanigans not backdoor.
