Default What kinda truck you got?

2000 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab, with a mere 3.9 V6, cold air intake, a few other goodies. It'll take my Dads 4.7 Durango no problem. 40,000 miles and looks it too. It'll pull my 3 atv trailer, or my popup camper with a/c, heat, 3 way fridge (all I need) at 15 mpg at 75mph all day. Did this all the way to Talladega Speedway in Alabama. You could say it gets er done for me anyways. Brian

Could it be because the Ford F series is the most popular truck being sold? Or is it because the F series not only out sell Chev, GMC (same truck) and Dodge, they out sell all of those COMBINED!

Ford F series outsells Chevy, GMC and Dodge combined ?? Where did you come up with that information ?? First off When ford use the F series to in their claim it can include F 450 and F550 as well so that is not accurate. While ford does sell more than any individual make they do not sell more than all combined. If you combine Chevy and GMC since they come off the same line they are neck and neck with Ford in sales. I do know here in Minnesota the Chevy and GMC's generally outsell the Fords. I will say as far as diesel trucks I see more Fords, but I am seeing more and more Duramax trucks also.

I own all Chevys and it is not because I think they are better. Chevy is what I grew up with and I have never had a lemon yet. In fact I have never had any major warranty or repairs on any of them except normal repairs from mileage. I am sure Ford and Dodge make good trucks too, but until I have a bad GM I will stay with them for now. I am just glad to have trucks to drive since I don't like cars unless they are muscle cars.

Cool! i have a few freinds who will be intrested in that also!

C, i cant tell you what to buy, but next time stick to a detroit company.

as far as the Ford selling more, there is about 4 GM division plants around me, so all you see is chevy and GMC trucks.

if i was to buy a Chevy,GMC,Pontiac,Buick,Cadilac, saturn, etc so any new car under the GM division i can get a 18% discount because my grandfather worked there for 35 years.
would this make me want to buy one insted of a ford? no not realy. i still think ford makes a better truck. if you dont agree thats fine, but IMO Ford is the better auto maker.

Fred
