Bad news from the 2-wheeled world.
Team Honda's Ernesto Fonseca crashed at his private track practicing for the Daytona SX, he somehow landed on his head.
He crushed his #7 spine-vert and "bent" but did not break his spinal cord. The Docs are saying that once the swelling goes down, they will be able to determine the damage to the spinal cord. If the damage is not too bad he may regain full usage of this arms and legs.
We should all wish his the best.............

I seen that the other day. Sad part is he has really started to make some noise in the last few weeks, hopefully he makes a full recovery.
THe on that really needs the prayers is the Pro MX/SXer James Marshal, he had a violent wreck a few weeks ago, don't even know if the poor guys is going to live yet.

You know the most ironic part here? The Fonseca is the guy who landed on Marshall.
Marshall cased a double in the first section and Fonseca literally landed right on him. There was no place for Fonzie to go, it looked pretty ugly from the helmet cam.
And you're 100% right. Fonseca had really found his speed this season. Besides Reed, Stewart, Carmichael and Tedesco, Fonseca is the only other guy who has shown he has the speed to run up front.
I guess for Honda it's a good thing Windham's back, he's the only other Red Rider left.

I knew about him landing on Marshall, made me cringe when I seen the video.
Honda is definately needing Windham, not only is Fonseca gone, but Larocco too!

Yea I was going to mention Larocco. He had one heck of a career though, he was the true Ironman. The last 500cc champ, and I'm guessing but I'd bet he was the guy who stayed in the top 5 for longer than anyone in history.

I know he has more SX podiums than anybody. He would have a lot more wins, but there has been the "super human" guys for the last ten years like MC, RC, and now Bubba.

Yea no kidding... It seemed like even in the years it wasn't MC or RC, a guy named Emig or Albertyn or Henry jumped up in front of Larocco and snatched it.
Same thing has been happening to K-Dub, he's always behind someone.
I'll never forget seeing Kevin Windham's face when Albertyn jumped up and snatched that title in the last race, I think it was 1999 Nationals.
Looks like RC is going to win another SX title. Bubba just cannot hold it together. He finally gets out in front Friday night in Daytona, only to hammer himself into a tough-block a couple laps in, I think he's about 25 points down now. Maybe if Reed's shoulder heals quick he can keep the pressure on RC for the rest of the season.
The Nationals are going to be awesome if everyone stays healthy.

Yeah, Bubba is done for this year. It's funny, he hasn't lost a race this year that he hasn't wrecked in.
Im looking forwards to the outdoors to! I want to see how Bubba does against Rocky now that he has a thumper.
