Did anyone see the Pikes Peak event on ESPN on Tuesday Dec. 21. The first event they showed was the Pro Quads. It was really cool to see some atv coverage on the old tube. They showed about 5 minutes total of atvs. Its not much but its a start. I cant wait to see the new show on the Outdoor channel. I plan on taping all the episodes.

Is it going to be re-broadcast? I missed it. I did catch the last two rounds of the freestyle MX series. Not many quads, but the ones they showed were pretty good.

How did the Atv's compare to the other vehicles that where participating? Which vehicles are fastest? I personally think it would be very interesting to see mountain bikers racing downhill on the same race course. :-)

The quads were faster than the 250 and 500 motorcycles. I think they were about the same if not alittle faster than the open class motorcycles. These open bikes are really fast, close to 90 mph up the peak. Most open bikes were 750cc and larger engines. Most of the quads were banshees, the winner set a new record, beat the old record by atleast 20 seconds. The quads ran the peak close to 12 minutes. I think the winner was about 12 minutes and 20 seconds. The 250 and 500 bikes are in the 13's and 14's. The open bikes are in the upper 12's and low 13's.

I am not sure if it will be rebroadcasted or not. Check your TV guide.

The freestyle MX is a cool show. I have seen all the events so far. I think there is going to be a quad freestyle tour next year. In dirtwheels or atv action, it mentions someone is getting a freestyle team together to compete in these events. I think it was Trinity. I will have to get out the mags and look for it.

I also saw the quads on FSMX and saw the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. I personally would like to see some GNC and/or GNCC quad racing or even FSMX with just quads. I would love it. Until us ATVERS get the ball rolling and start emailing and sending these TV stations letters we arent getting anymore ATVS on TV than we already have. SO c'mon fellow ATVERS LETS GET IT GOIN !!!!!

Re-broadcast?? Just show up, July 4, 2000 and watch a new race I was there, will be back next year (spectator). The Pikes Peak Hill Climb is like no other race in the world!

1998 Pikes Peak Hill Climb ... sorry, no ATV pics here. I guess I should upload some ATV pics, *and* 1999 race photos.
