I see in ebay all the time, that people are charging 20 to 25 bucks for shipping two tires. I realize they dont weigh much, but are kind of bulky.
Who has shipped tires before, and what did you use? postal service or ups or some other? How much was it? Did you just band them together , or box them?

I shipped 2 boxes (4 tires and rims) off a scrambler from IL to AZ. The box with the rear tires was about $40.00 to ship. The box with the front tires was considered oversized by UPS because of the size of the box and cost me about $55.00. I should have deflated them to fit them into the smaller box.

I sent two 22" rear tires from Washington state, to the east coast. They were boxed and UPS charged almost $30. I recieved a set of tires from UPS, that were plastic wrapped, and that was like $13. I think the key is to squezze them as much as possible, then wrap them.
