Does anyone have a cure for poison ivy or oak? In the past we have tried Rhuli Gel, Oatmeal, Bleach, and GoJo. Other Ideas??

I just got poision ivy last weekend and I thought it was all dead! I got rid of it in one day using the same method I always use: Scrub hard with a bleach covered wash cloth, it works everytime. It hurts so good I don't understand!

Not sure there's a "cure," Shane, and your reaction depends a lot upon your own allegic sensitivity.

Calamine lotion is a classic treatment for the symtoms, "Lanacaine" adds some analgesic. Hydrocortisone cream helps somewhat. Aloe, at least, does no additional harm.

If you find better remedies, share 'em! This stuff gives me fits! You have my sympathies.

i get it often and bad, jump in the ocean, rub sand on the blisters till they bleed, the salt will destroy the bacteria, i usually stay in as long as i can stand it, 3-4 hours usually.
