Default odd things you have found on the trail?

i was riding in the local pit not too long ago (spinning brodies in this area) when i saw something that my tires had uncovered. i picked it up and realized it was the battery part of an electronic toothbrush i lost years ago (late 2003). didnt take it with me, but it was odd seeing it just...there.

I dont know how odd this realy is but I did see a hot chick on a cruiser bicycle about 5 miles out on a gravel road at about 7:00 pm. Now the odd part is she was wearing thongs and a tank top, and heading away from town. I slowed down to see if she was lost but she just kept going like she never saw me.

Default odd things you have found on the trail?

A bunch of us were riding WAY out in the middle of nowhere. Probably like 20 miles away from anything.

We were hauling a$$.......till we came upon a couple vans [ford, chevy etc] around the vans there were a bunch of mexicans. The strange part was they were ALL packing rifles and handguns.

All of us that were riding looked at each other, spun a 180 and got outta there !!!

No clue what they were doing, but at the time, we really didn't care either.

The next day my friend and I went back up there in my truck. We were packing heat this time. We found remnants of a camp. We looked around the area on foot. I wound up finding a Remmington 30-06 leaning up against a tree, and a knife stuck in the tree. We were a bit nervous thinking it was a set-up. We ended up sticking around for a bit to see what might happen....maybe a vehicle would come or something. No one ever came after about 20 minutes, so I took the rifle and the knife, and we left.

We expected to run in to someone driving in as we left, but we never saw anyone.

After I got home, I reported to the sheriff what we'd seen the previous day, and also told them about the rifle found. We had to escort 3 truck loads of officers to where we were so they could check it out. Ended up they found nothing outta the ordinary. They ran the numbers on the rifle and it didn't come back stolen......so they told me FindersKeepers

I've always been amazed to find a regular vehicle out on the trail. There is a wrecked and burned mini-van and an SUV out on one of the northern Windrock trails. I'm sure that they were stolen but these were not easy trails to get to. I couldn't see any kind of line that would allow a mini-van to get up that far.

I think I've see about 4 to 5 wrecked cars out in the middle of nowhere.
