I was wanting to invest into a ATV stand, but I am not sure. The one that catches my eye is the one that James Lucky has for sale, but how does it work? I assume u tilt the quad back, hook it on somewhere, and pull the quad up. But any input anyone can give me would be appriciated.

plp2,

I know what u mean, I am out here in BFE, (Butt F**K Egypt) as we like to call it. But I was just wondering how they liked it cause I was gonna build one. I was at the steel place yesterday picken up my basic load and thought screw it, I gonna buy some 1x1 tubing. Now all I need to know how they work. I know its a simple thing to build so thats not a prob.

Hey all, try SAMS Clubs, you can get a 1000lbs ATV/Motorcycle rolling stand (built in bottle jack) for $99. Nice and heavy duty!!

Sanddude,
I use A/C racing's stand. Made of aluminum. I got it from NAC'S Racing. Yes, you do lift the quad onto the rear tires. (With it in gear.) Then place the stand's u hooks near the frame, (Bottom near the swing arm.), and lower it onto the stand. I like mine alot. You can take it to the dunes or even the track if you have to.

How high does the AC Stand lift the quad? I figure I gonna build one that lifts the quad off the ground bout 24 inches.

It lifts it about 2 1/2 to 3 feet.
