How big will they get?

That's Nothing!, Komatsu already has had the D575 model Dozer that puts out around 1,150 H.P. and only weighs around 153 tons. Perfect for Coal Mining!

Thats about like a little article I found out of an old Supertraxx magazine that has an old Ski-Doo Blizzard with a 350 chevy motor in it. The guys from near New Ulm, MN called the project the Formula VIII!!

On the other hand while I have nothing against huge horsepower, I sure do dislike how big and heavy the utes have gotten. Look at the sport quads which are getting lighter all the time. The 450's are now down to 350 pounds (very favorable power to weight ratio!), yet the utes gain more lard every year (600, 700........800 pounds). Calling one of those a "sport/ute" is just a plain old marketing lie. Wish the manufacturers would turn this thing around, and start giving us some really light 4X4's!

It is just taking a page form car makers, do we consider the new Chevy Tahoe a sport/ute not really I cant see it providing much sport(unless you add a lift and big tires) which is what a lot of people will do with the big bore Utes which is why they can be called sport
Its like comparing football(raptor) and Golf(Grizzley) both are sports, but one is a faster paced game the other takes time. The Grizzley gets its sport form being in the woods and trails where a true sport quad cant go due to the limitations ofground clearance and lack of 4x4. I do agree that they could stand to lose a few pounds and go back to a SRA (its just more fun to me and I dont like to fell like Im going to fall over like with the new rincon)

i think physical size wise they have already gotten too big. All these 4x4s are like mini quads. I own a wolverine and Ive sat on a few of these new polaris and the suzuki King quad and they just seem massive to me. I wouldnt be caught dead doing a steep uncharted hill climb on a beast like that. Cause if it flipped Id be dead. Im 6ft and 185lbs im not that small I fit just fine on my wolverine and Although I can see a little bigger like the old grizz 660s and the suzuki vinson size the new ones just seem gigantic to me. I mean if i was on flat land around a farm or big truck trails and mud bogs that are wide open it would be great probably but getting somthing like that unstuck without a winch or squeezing in tight areas must be a real PITA. If your towing sure they can haul more but I would bet I can spank almost any one of those big machines in most any trail situation. they are faster in a strait line but that doesnt mean anything for any quad especially a ute. Im not trying to crap on anybodys stuff just somthing i recently came to realize when I was at the dealership getting a few parts for my CR500 the other day.
PS before I got my boat and my CR500 I also rode a quadzilla so im not like anti size.
