If you look on the frame...(black with raw cradle and side rails I think is production version) the side rails are removable for engine access...
Check out how since the top frame rails are high, there is less exposed steering stem to bend, and unlike all the others, the little attachment point for the stem is not needed and therefore no gussetting is needed!!
I have seen what Jeremy Schell has done to YFZ and TRX stock frames that have been gussetted for racing...they don't last long, he is rough!!

Imagine that! They use a triangle truss shape in the frame of that Can Am 450 to help with tenison and compression!
OFC the frame is put together with those lock bolts. I'am thinking you just drill the old ones out and have to replace them.

LMAO.. i just proved again why im a valuable asset.. I let my coworker bang his head trying to fix a problem he created with his machine and it was givin hime error messages. for the last couple days he gets no where. i say email me the code. 1 minute after i got the code i had emailed him back instructions to remedy his problem.
