Default drill out lugnuts?

Alright, I know this has nothing to do with ATVs, but I happen to know that a few good mechanics frequent this site....so here goes

I have a set of 18" wheels on a car I just got and the guy lost the key needed to remove the lugnuts.

The wheel manufacturer doesn't sell lugnuts, just wheels....I have no idea who the manufacturer of the lugnuts are and the guy who owned the car before me cannot even speak english......no longer even in the country.

The local shop wants about $500 to remove and replace all 20......

There is little to no clearance around the wheel hole and the splined lugnut.

Wheels are 18" tenzo type r

I ordered a 6 spline tool off eBay, but who knows if it will fit.....PRAY

The manufacturer might be Gorilla. The locking lug nuts on my truck are made by Gorilla and have six splines per nut. Like you said, the clearance for a socket is minimal. The socket supplied to me by Gorilla is VERY thin walled.

This is what we did on my brother's car. We went down to a local tire shop, he pulled out scokets that were just a tad smaller than the lug nut, pounded it on and sure enough, it came off. Only cost my brother about $15 or so IIRC. If I have the same problem in the future, I might try doing the same thing in my driveway first. If it doesn't work, I am only out a socket. Good luck!
