If we're talking torque, then take the biggest displacement (650 or 660...no names ). If you're talking low end power, Quadzilla, hands down. 500cc 2stroke are simply unbeatable.
Since it's "torque" based post...I'd like to put a 800 Big DR Suzuki (actually 779cc) 4 stroke 1 cyl in a quad...what frame would accept that kind of stuff???

Honda also makes a XR750 single 4 stroke enduro type bike only sold in Europe though. That thing and the Suzuki Zorro mentioned gotta put out some killer torque but there not quads.

The only thing I can think of to fit one of those in is a Warrior since it`s probably the biggest 4 stroke (dimension wise) out there. Maybe a Scrambler or Grizz if you want 4x4.

There are no 750XRs sold in Europe (at least to my knowledge). Some off road bikes got to 750 (from Honda) but a V twins, not singles. The biggest single cylinder 4 stroke is the suzuki Big DR. It's 779cc (the first years was 727 or 732cc...something like that). It's the biggest they got....a 4" diameter piston!!! Yeah, almost as big as a hand!!
Torque figure is 6.06 m/kg (sorry, don't know the lb/foot) at 5500 rpm...max power is 55hp at 5600 rpm....gotta have one!
I don't think any single could get much bigger!!
Easteregg...what about a 400EX frame. I will be forced to get a 4 stroke frame since I don't want to change the weight repartition too much...maybe a DS frame if I could find one...does anyone know how much (around) a rolling chassis costs...even if there's some work to do, doesn't matter too much.

You are correct it is a twin XRV750 go to >Big Trail Bike, com< to see pic`s there are also pic`s of the Suzuki 800.

I didn`t mention the 400ex or the ds650 because they are so new and would probably be expensive, even just a rolling chassie. A warrior could be had cheap.

Either one would make an awsome quad 4 stroke quaad.

My dad had an 87 zilla and it was crazy! You could be in 5th gear cruisin along goose it and stand her straight up!it was ported, wiseco .080 piston, fmf ram vlave, fmf gold series fatty pipe, power core silencer, uni filter, and air box lid vents, and it had 39 mm pwk carb.It was FAST.Only one qaud ever beat it that he raced and it was a 370 long rod banshee with paddles. It was in sand so the paddles helped alot.THat was before it got a fesh top end to.I loved it but it was very high maintence and it had so much power it broke the clutch basket. We got a hinson baskert with a barnett clutch.

I have a pic of it if anybody wants it.

And when I was little he had a 570 big bore zilla motor in a LT250r frame.I never rode it.He had a moded cr500r that he rode all the time. But he barel rode the big bore becuase it had so much power!
