Chinese made ATVs?

They are great for beginners.
They are great and inexpensive learning tools. If you get one, you probably will end up working on it a little bit from time to time(like I said...a great learning tool). You will have fun with them if you are a beginner. If you want an ATV, and just can't afford a big-name yet....go for it.
Also, it depends on what you plan on using them for. If you plan to be doing some hard-core jumping, don't buy chinese.
Also, be careful what brand you buy, and make sure there's parts available.
I bought a couple Super Mach 110's(from PowersportsMax.com) for my kids, they love them....and yes, if I went back in time, I would do it all over again. They also have some large Yamaha replica Utility ATV's for 1 third of the price of buying one from a Yamaha shop.

It's definately a case of you get what you pay for. For their credit, they are cheap to purchase and they are slowly getting better in quality. I expect that someday in the future they may actually evolve into a decent quality quad. For now, some of them work fine, some of them are worthless out of the crate and all of them require much more maintenance than name brand quads. If you just plain can't afford a new name brand quad or if you only want to invest a few hundred dollars to see if your kid likes riding in the yard, then they can be the best choice.
I tend to look at ATV's for my usage, which is 100% trail riding. In that case an unreliable quad is not an option. I also have a personal bias against spending hundreds of dollars for a "new" item knowing that I will immediately need to make repairs and replace parts. My opinion has remained that you are far better off to find a used major brand ATV than you are buying one of the "Pep Boys wonders" or one of their clones. When buying used, one of the risks is that you may need to do some maintenance work to get the ATV in shape. Since this is almost a given with the Chineese quads, you are looking at the same or less risk when buying used.

Its be discussed before that a used Brand Name is better than a New Chinese. I sold a mint condition 2001 450 Honda foreman with 1500 miles ,it will out last any Brand New 09 Chinese Utility ATV with zero miles,I will guarantee it.

Hi im new here, so i dont know much about this site. but i would not buy one. yes there cheap. but there low quality, and where it the world would you get parts for</end quote></div>
I see you have never owned one.
Parts are easy to find. Very easy to find.
Also, some of them accept honda parts, some of them accept Yamaha parts.
My sons little mini 110cc (chinese made) pushes my 250lb butt around alot better(and faster) than my nephews brand name 80cc, and it also has more convienience and safety features.
