its been raining on and off today here on the lovely Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo

 

it's sunny and nice out here in VA. and you have some AFATDS training huh...hmm you looking for a job when you get back. and you probably still have the CCU's or the old big green bastards they got AFATDS down to the size of a laptop on roids. i'm still not a fan of it but what can you do. and you're not missing anything by not being airborne. i spent 8yrs falling out of airplanes it was my curse. i was in the only airborne unit in 2ID in korea. i just could never get away from it. now i have messed up knees that snap and crack all the time.

 

yea we have the laptops. looks like a tough book with armor then we have those and the GDU's down on the gun line. we went staight from the IFSAS to the AFTADS laptop.. little bit of a change there! we did that conversion back in march of 05'. I would think about a job like that but the old lady is gonna be going to school at UNI so im stuck in IA for a couple more years.

well at least you got lucky and were fielded the tadpoles. i know alot of NG units got our old CCU's and GDU's and at least ur old lady is going to school to make some bucks then she can be your sugar momma. i need to find one of those

 

yea no kidding.. she can pay to do my rear suspension! The 34th really took care of us since we are one of their 2 BCT's.. we got all the new ****. we have had M4's for about 3-4 yrs now and we have all the new armor. the only thing i hate about the tadpole is the keyboard.. it can be a bitch to type on

yea thats how most of the days here go. but oh well i only got about 2 months left in this shithole then im back in the states after a year
