ok ok whats with the cops. today we got 13 inches of snow and our town had a snow emergency. Me and a friend were ridin downtown, obeying all the laws and i was actually goin to my grandfathers house to shovel his driveway. We saw a cop car stuck in the snow and when we were drivin past the cop jumped out and hit our quads and us with a broom! They told us the get the hell of the road, so we did, but thats not the worst part. My friends neighbor was ridin his banshee when the new cheif of police saw him swerved at him to try and stop him, so the guy slammed on the brakes and almost hit the cop. The cop then swerved again at him so the guy spun around and tok of , the cop tried chasin him until the banshee stalled and couldnt get started. the cop flew next to him jumped out of the car and right when he got the quad started the cop grab the handle bar and pulled the guy off. Now the quad is impounded and he has to pay about 2500 dollars in fines. Whats up with that! If u have any stories i would like to hear them, thanks.

local law enforcement is very vauge in atv laws in WI. in town says must have drivers lic.and restricted to certain roads, saying nothings " on the books " just yet, but it's to be discussed soon. theres hope there. rural areas are different some areas well marked some inforced some not. best i can say is remember to vote and let them know why ! still sounds to expensive to me hope he gets a good lawyer.

Id take a hard look at the laws that govern ''snow emergencys'' in your state.
Dec 13th of 2000,we got nailed with 14 inches of snow overnight,we also were under a snow emergency, which means that NO 2wd vehicles are allowed on the roadways until the snow emergency is lifted, however, you are allowed to ride snowmobiles and ANY other source of transportation that will allow safe commuting without getting stuck, this WOULD include 4x4 ATVs.Get a lawyer, the cop had no right to throw a broom at you guys, and he could be in violation of your snow emergency laws,Good Luck,
Bill

Why did he have a broom?
Because he knew he was gonna get stuck in his Caprice so he decided to do like all witches, say the magic formula and fly to spot the kids that usetheir ATV to help grandpa. Why would they use their ATV? It's forbidden, even if it helps, no!
Cop...ahahah. That would be the last job I'd do!!

thats what i was wondering when i saw the broom, what the heck!. And i have been riding in the snow emergencies for 4 years now and we passed cops and they justed waved but now i think because we have anew cheif of police he has to put some kinda bad azz reputation to his name or something for stopping all those "rowdy atvers".
