my ****ty tires are dry rotted and now there is this green stuff uzing out of them and i have never put that slime stuff in them so i dont know what it is..........not sure if the previous owner did or not though



can any body help before i have to buy new tires

 

If your tires are that bad where they are leaking and dry rotted, i would replace them. The owner before you put some in.

Yep, previous owner put in Slime if it is a bright green. If not it's just mold...

 

now that got me wondering. why would the previous owner put some slime??

 

The most common reason is to plug up a hole in the tire.

 

I put it in one of my quads that we ran areas with lots of thorns. Much easier to let slime take care of those tiny holes than have a flat or try to fix them all.

 

I run Slime in my tires as a matter of course....takes care of the small punctures that occur without any effort
