Hi all, new to this forum. I have an 86 trx 200sx. i have a couple questions. not sure if this is the right place for this thread but...

1. my rear shock is dead. after searching around a bit, ive found this part is no longer made by honda and aftermarket is way more than i want to spend. i found a guy that has an 02 trx250ex that he is parting out. im meeting with him today to see if the rear will fit. he also has the fronts for sale which i may pick up. my question is, has anyone made this swap? does anything need to be moded or will they swap out easily.

2. when i bought the bike, it did not have a battery, the batt cables were cut and it did not have a key. so in turn my light doesn't work. is there a way to hook the light up to the pulse generator or ? to make it work when the engine is running? i know its possible as my friends atc is hooked up that way. i tried with no results. anyone help?

 

AS long as the shock is about the same size it will work, the more coils the stronger the shock.
