Will we ever see aftermarket EPS for older ATV's?
I see you can buy EPS for older Side by Side's (think for like $600-800), so how soon til they are offered for older ATV's?

Better to just get a new ATV that has it. My friend bought a EPS kit for his 700 Rhino it cost $1000+ after installation.
Be the day I would pay $1000 on a older ATV just to make a already easy steering ATV to be able to steer easier. You can buy nice Rims/Tires or a lot of gas for $1000 and really feel a difference. I rode a lot of ATVs and never though one was so hard to steer that a $1000 EPS was worth it. A eps KQ500 cost the same as a 750KQ without it. |
SuperATV has kits for quads. ATV Power Steering Kits : ATV Accessories : UTV Accessories : Super ATV LLC

My '97 Sportsman 500 was hard to steer. Compared to it my '01 felt like it did have power steering. The kits Moose posted don't work on the old models that actually needed it. I would rather have a new one with power steering than to use an add-on kit.

John32070, how old of a quad are you hoping to add power steering?

Mine's a 98, but I doubt they'd ever get the price down even if they made it for something that old ($600 is probably 1/3 what mine is worth), I just seen it was available for UTV's and it just had me curious is all. I've heard a lot of great things from people who have units with EPS.

I know on the Kawasaki the EPS works more the slower you are going. Makes sense.

In order to have EPS,wouldnt the atv need to be "ready" for PS as far as wires ran to hook it up,ECU programmed,ect...? I thought the new bikes with EPS have a sensor to adjust the PS so at high speeds it doesnt get too twitchy.
