Red Bull is no stranger to coming up with unique forms of competition, but when it comes to a contest to determine the best life guards on the planet, Polaris wanted to make sure the competitors were properly rewarded for their service:

That GENERAL really looks good. I didn't know they came stock my high school colors.
If life guards ever want to prove how tough they really are, they should compete at Lake Superior instead of swimming in a nice warm ocean. That'll make a man of you. Well actually, swimming in Lake Superior will make a man's ********* try to find someplace inside their abdomen to keep warm. But when they drop an hour later, you da man!

We know- the idea of weaponized autonomous robotic side-by-sides sounds like something straight out of The Terminator; the fact is they exist. And the Army just ordered 20 of them:

For thousands of years foot soldiers carried about 40 pounds of gear. It went up to around 60 pounds during WWI, which is already more than the average man should carry on a regular basis. It kept going up from there until in Afghanistan and Iraq guys were carrying 80, 100, 120, 135 pounds, or even more. Their vests with armor plates installed weigh 30 pounds before they start piling on all the other gear. When they dropped down on the ground some of them could barely get back up. They're moving like turtles while the enemy is running around with hardly anything. They don't have to outfight our guys when they can outrun them. Some of these soldiers and marines have chronic pain and arthritis in their early to mid 20s. If they can get robotic vehicles to act as pack mules to haul most of that junk I'm all for it.

It's not even halfway through 2018 according to the calendar but from a production standpoint, 2019 is alive and well:

You must have traveled 11 hours into the future and read my mind. I was just thinking that if the mysterious Yamaha was a Grizzly 1000 I'd be impressed. Anything else, probably not.

It's crazy to me to watch companies that already have the engines just watch Can-Am and Polaris take the majority of the market share. At least Yamaha answered the crazy fast side by side machines that Can-Am and Polaris have.
