hello,
i bought a used 2000 bombardier 650 ds last week
and now when i try to start it it makes a
Loud horrible noise like metal scraping on cement.
I cant find any vids online with this noise so here i am hoping all of you pros can help me out?

First thought is the starter is hanging up.

Also, I would name him George.

 

Anything that sounds like metal scraping cement, I wouldn't try to start, just take to a dealer or trusted mechanic. My mechanic had a low miles Can Am that had the oil pump fail, but owner kept driving, now it sounds like that. A wee bit late. Owner said, this little red light is on. Yes it was.
