ATV CAB ENCLOSURES
#2
I have never used a cab enclosure. I have a weather enclosure on my golf cart(I know it isn't an atv) though. My feelings are this. It is nice for keeping you dry, but I wouldn't want to go over 20 with it. It greatly distorts your view, and as the rain drops hit it, your view gets worse. I could understand wanting one for low speed applications, or just to try to stay warm.

No, they're not designed for high speed riding. They're more of a "creature comfort" item. You have to decide between fast and wet or slow and dry. As for the distortion from rain, you might try using something like Rain-X on it.

I've never used one before.
Someone that I know uses one in the winter time when plowing his driveway. He says it is the only time of year that he likes it, mostly because the heat off the engine keeps it warm in the enclosure.

BlueHonda4x4 is right, the best place for it is winter use. Know a guy that uses it with a snow blower attachment on his ATV. It keeps the snow from blowing back at him, keeps the wind off him, and the engine keeps it fairly warm inside.
For just about anything else, it is not to great. It ruins the topside cleanence...hits tree branches and whatnot, and is definitly not sturdy enough for high speeds runs.
