After reading quite a few posts in here regarding companies that have poor or non existant customer service, I thought this message was truly important to warn others.

Here is one for the records; a few months ago my G/F ordered me a set of ramps from a company called Ramp Master (they advertise in Dirt Wheels and a couple other ATV and Dirt Bike mags). This is not a case of not actually getting the equipment, rather the ramps were sent in a day or two of the order. Here is were the story gets interesting, about a month after we recieved the ramps a bogus credit card charge appeared on my G/F's statement. After looking into this we found that some stuff was ordered using her card and mailing info, but the items were shipped to a different address.

To make this story a little shorter and because of insuing legal reasons. the truth is that the owner of the company or to be more specific a person who lives with the owner took the info from my G/F's credit card and decided to make some charges of his own.

On the lucky side my G/F got refunded through her bank, and the card was cancelled to prevent this from happening again. At this time through investigators and the police we are finding more and more strange things about this "company" and the owner.

If people are interested I will provide more info as time goes on what we've learned about our "friends" at Ramp Masters.

Wow that is scary, as long as it's not going to interfere with anything... please keep us updated.

A little more to the story,

Ramp Masters address is in the East coast area, and when you call their customer service and ask for the owner/manager, they always tell you that "He is not in right now" and that they will give "him" a message. After doing more investigating I found that "he" will never be in because "he" does not even live there. "He" actually lives in California and also that "he" is actually a she, but according to her she wanted to use a mans name because she felt that her company would be taken more seriously (yea right - in this day and age).

When or if the owner actually calls you back you do get a man on the other end of the phone, this is the individual who is being accused (according to the police) of fraudulantly using credit cards to make personal purchases. The owner claims that she wasn't aware of this.

More to follow.

I heard a similar story...a guy just stopped at a gas station...and the kid was able to remember his credit card #!
He fooled around...and got caught.

It happens all the time. However, this is an established business who claims to support the off-road industry. When the police searched their garage they found a bunch of boxes from different mail order companies that they had purchased, but had different billing addresses. Now tell me that the owner is not aware of what is going on in her own home. Yea Right!
