Are there ever any adults in the chat room? Not that I don't mind all the younger folks, but it would be nice to talk about something other then sand dune jumping, drag racing and keggers!

 

I don't go to the chat room often because it's just not interesting to me, (too much my quad's better than your's chat) I would like to see a Chat room entitled ,Adult Quad Chat, or ,Married with Quads (that's NOT married TO quads..lol), or Technical Questions and Answers? Places We ride? Place to ride? Modifications that work?

 

I have not been in the chat room for probably a yr or so.I find it to be very childish in there.Most of the talk is about who's quad is better or faster anyways.Real informing stuff.There were some 4x4 people in there,but they even created arguments.Not for me.===BILL

 

I go into the chat room every once in a blue moon.But i try to talk to the older people or the ones with a little common sense.I do agree that a chat room should be set up for the adult,or the more serious person who doesent want to play games.If the chat room would start banning the ones who start problems maybe iit would weed out the problem chatters.Just my 2 cents......Bob

I agree. I've tried to use the chat to answer a quick question I may have instead of searching through the forums...it doesn't work. Too many kids. There was once supposed to be the Draakar cross-country rally winner in the chat room, but I never saw any of his postings because of all the jibberish, so I gave up. I think the forums work best for me, anyway.

 

I agree with all of you. Though I may seem a little hipocritical being 17 myself. I have gone in and met maybe 2-4 people who are really serious about quads. Most everyone else is just cracking jokes and making fun of each other or trying to impress the ladies. Every time I said something I got "hey man!, it's called open chat!" Maybe if the operators limited it to ATV chat only we would get rid of the non-sensical little teenie-boppers who mostly don't even ride. But don't give up on it totally, there are some decent people who go in there.

Yes there are quite a few kids and or childish people in there, but you get alot of that in most chat rooms. The key is to be an adult in your responses, this usually throws them off. If that doesnt work, tell them your gonna call there mom...he he
The key is to become somewhat of a regular. When people recognize you they are usually more polite.

Hi ! We are new to the chat room. We are from Pa. and would like to know if there are any places to ride in N.Y. Do you know of any poker runs there? we like the slow riding we like to enjoy the scenery.

I have to side with Thumper4x4 on this one. I frequent the chat rooms, and that's where you'll find out what it's really like. YOu have to go in there, stick around a while, come back, say hi to all the new names, and just not talk to the idiots.. :P If you hang out for an evening (This is generally when the most of the older crowd arrives - after work and all) by the end of the evening you'll have a good idea of who you wanna talk to, and who you'll opt to ignore. Most anyone who comes in, and stays will be who you want to talk to. So if all of you 'adult' people would come in, and stick around for a few hours a week, the rest of us would have that many more 'adult' people to talk to.
P.S. Stay out of the chat room in the early afternoon to minimize your interaction with "My quad (Actually talking about the neighbor across the street) Quad is sooo fast, it'll beat your F-14 in a race!"

That's my two cents, and heres an extra two hoping to see you people in the chat room. Look for me, say hi, tell me your giving it a shot and I'll be sure to welcome you.
