POLL: What do you want to see on ATV TV?
#1
Everyone, you may have read the thread about ATV Television. It got me thinking why not take a poll to see what people would like to see on the show. Please take a moment to post your thoughts here.
I would like to see more sport oriented episodes and (maybe 50/50 sport/utility) and more trip reports that are NOT about rock crawling.

1. I would also like to see more of a mix of the shows. Maybe a 50/50 mix between the utility and the sport machines. Since I started watching the show almost two years ago, I haven't seen one review of a sport machine, yet the show has reviewed the Honda Recon twice The few shows that focused on Sport machines were the best shows, in my opinion.
2. More diverse selection of trail rides. Maybe focusing on some that don't require constant winching and rock crawling. Like was said before, this may be fun to you, but it was painfully boring to watch and looked more like work than play.
3. Less time spent chit chatting about non atv topics.
4. As I have said in previous post, a more objective approach to product and machine evaluations. I pretty much know that Doug's favorite atv of all time is the Honda Rancher and nothing else compares, so I would like to get more than just his opinion. Maybe a group of riders thoughts on the machine to get a wider scope of views.
5. Never, ever have to see the show about the "Best of", I didn't even make it through the second (of three) episodes on this show.
I hope Doug doesn't take this as being cruel or mean criticism. I appreciate that he took the time to create a show about atv's, we are just giving our opinion on what would improve it from our perspective.

I would like to see the show go longer than 30 min and have "how To's " such as Taking a jump, hill climbing, off camber riding, and simple matinance along with various riders imputs on machines and after market parts. And aslong as this is a wish list .... a drawing for a new quad of choice that I of course win LOL
The only show(s) that i really have to admit i didn't like was the mud tire tests. I found the tire comparisons interesting BUT!! Seeing Doug read the info from a magazine that i could have bought off the newstand was alittle to much for me. I do feel the show is meant to encompass all riders of various ages and yrs of riding and I'm sure it isn't what a racer might enjoy but, what percentage of atv'ers actually race professionally ? I guess i feel that if the show isn't up to a persons standards he/she can either not watch it or try to put on a show themselves and then listen to others complain about how it doesn't intrest them or is to one sided about what ever they are showing.

I'd like to see a 50/50 split between Sport & utility. Even though i (mostly) enjoy the show, I do wisk he'd show the Utes doing something other than rock-crawling or riding down a fire-road/4x4 trail. Like some real trail-riding! You pretty much get that Doug likes it slow& in Low (range). But at least he's trying.
I have some some series of shows where it was a 2 or 3 weeks or Sport bikes racing, so it's not all utes. I would really like to see more shows about accessories (like winches, racks, etc) like he did the recent one on ATV trailers. Although, I too thought it was strange to do a TV show that mostly consisted of him reading the ATV magazine's review of Mud tires. And the tire shots seemed to be the same ones, repeated over & over. It's easier to nitpick, not knowing his production funding, so what we see may be all that they can afford to do. Also, rather than show some spokeman talking during an interview, let the voice-over going, but show some video of the bike or product being used, as it is being described.
