i want to put a spedometer on my warrior but they cost around $60 in Rockymountianatv.com. i was wondering if i could put a bike spidometer on my quad. i have seen them at wal'mart and they are the same brand as the ones in my Catalog for rockymountain and they only cost $24. could i rig it some way to work on my quad or would i be better off buying the $60 one?
Thanks for any replys!!!!!

I believe the answer is yes. Don't remember where I read it but I think some other guys have done this same thing. You tape a magnetic or reflective tape or something on the rim and put the reader on the caliper or something like that. Just make sure that the unit works with the same size of tire that you have on your quad. Most units work within a range.
Hopefully someone here knows more than I. Do some searches and you should find it somewhere. It might have been on another forum altogether.

cummins,

thanks for the reply. i found that forum you were talking about. it turns out that a lot of people had trouble getting them to work right. i think i would be better off just not getting one.

thanks again!!
