What would you say to someone that changes there oil only every 2 years

I'm almost the same as you THEXOTIC1, I have 400 miles on mine, and I've changed the engine oil 4 times, and differentials once.

Every 2 years.And it still runs?Makes you wonder how often he changes the oil in his cars.Sad case of neglect......Bob

I work on tractors. Had a guy bring one in that "just stoped runin" he said, and I quote "I don't know what could be wrong, hell it runs so good, I haven't even had to change the oil for 11 years". And your right, I hope I never buy anything for that guy.

Oil viscosity breaks down after 1 year, whether its in a motor or new on the shelf. I hope he was using a High end synthetic oil.

No he did not use synthetic he puts all kinds of oil in, just what ever is laying around the house. He usually puts in a cheap grade of 10w-30, I told him to use 40 weight but he did not listen. When he did change it he put in some diesel oil and 10w-30 and 40 mixed all together.

I tell you what. I wouldn't be riding with that guy. I wouldn't want to tow his a@% back when he broke down. I've heard of better maintenance done by a girl. Sorry no offense to you ridin ladies.
