Default Good dealers

I read so much stuff about bad dealers that we should make a list of the good dealers in our areas.
That way the good dealers get supported & the bad ones will have to change or go out of buisness.

I'm lucky, My local dealer is great!!
They have a good stock of parts & accessories, are very knowledgable about their products, they give me 20% off all parts & accessories I get & don't mind when I ask questions & I didn't even buy my quad from them (but I'll get my next one from them)!!!

I always check with them first & there are parts they can't get at a better price as other places (they tell me where I can get them cheaper) so I've gotten some stuff (sand tires, pipe, etc) from mail order & other shops but most of the stuff on my quad has come from them.

If your in the Tulsa area try M & W Powersports in Broken Arrow. I haven't had them do any service (I do my own work) but I've asked the service guys a lot of questions about how to do stuff & they've answered my questions with no problems.

Lets get a good dealers list going & help the good dealerships & ourselves.

yea i give a thumbs up for columbia motor sports in connecticut/there realy nice people and ive asked them plenty of questions myself. They may not give me more than 15% off + i bought my quad from them, i worked at one of the guys house for like a half a day and he hooked me up w/ a helmet. to tell you the truth i really dont care what kind of dicounts they give me its just a plesure to talk to them. When i was buying my parts for my 250x, i had to purchase everything from down the street at the handa shop, before i went to columbia they charged me a 100 bucks for a lousy piston that i could of got for 50$ out of a magizine. There was no difference between the two, on top of that they were jerkes i spent up to a grand in parts from them untill i stopped buying from them. I hope a worker or a costemer reads this so they could change there attitude,

there both in columbia and they both are on the same side of town(a 2 minute difference)

NORTHWEST YAMAHA IN Grand Falls New Brunswick for anyone in Maine that is willing to travel. These people were outstanding to deal with. We did the entire deal over the phone and they even came to border and met me because I couldn't cross (due to a descripincie on my drivers license). When I buy again I will be buying from them.

The dealer we have dealt with in the past 2 years has treated us ok until recently. We have bought a total of 5 new atvs and all our maintenance items any accessories and gear from them. Our last bike we bought there was the C-dale ,the shocks thatwere recalled were being sent out from cannondale, so we called our dealer. The service guy said bring it up,we have a set in. I also said my silencer is leaking and I ordered trans. drain plug for back-ups. 1 week later we call bike still sitting untouched at dealer, they did not order any parts or call cannondale about any of the items!! I asked about shocks being put on, they said we havent had time, we will do it right now and order all other parts for tomorrow delivery. Call back the next day, talk to owner, she says we dont have any shocks and did not order any parts, because we cant figure out how to do it on the computer. We went and got the bike and asked what the problem was. They say they cant figure out to order parts on there system and dont know what to tell us.. We asked are you going to fix this, because we will never go back if not handled now. They said maybe we will see ya around..sorry. Sorry to ramble but I feel we earned good service. We dont ask for anything extra just what is promised to us.. I forgot about the plastics for C-dale are discolored from gas cap leak, being covered under warranty also.. Sorry about long post still mad about that kind of treatment..

Any of you guys dealt with The Hitching Post in Minneapolis MN ?? I ordered my Polaris 600 Twin from them and thus far they have been great. I dont have my ride yet but should be in up there no later than next Monday Nov. 25th and it will be shipped to me here in ABQ. NM. I have only dealt with them over the phone and they have been top notch thus far.

I will keep everyone informed once I get the bike in around Dec. 1st and let everyone know exactly how the entire transaction goes down....ride on

I too have had problems with dealers,Purchased three quads in three years and went thru three dealers beforeI found one that will give me service within three days and not tie my machine up on weekends when I want to ride. The only problem it seems that they are a little higher on the prices of new machines. When it comes to buying another I will still have to think about them even if it cost's more as finding parts and service is my priority. The dealer is Donegal Polaris/Yahama in Pa.

Northern,
I would be interested in hearing about your purchase across the border. What kind of prices compared to the states? What taxes did you pay over there? Did cutoms have to pass your wheeler thru inspections of any sort ? I bought a Yamaha Virago 1100 back in 1999 from Cornwall Ontario and met up with a ROBO COP at the border. He was a royal pain in the butt. The bike had to pass DOT and EPA emissions. Even though the documents stated The bike met U.S. standards I had to have Yamaha fax the border that my paticular vin number passed. Also, because my speedo wasn't in mph they wouldn't pass it . The dealer had the stencil kit installed but that wasn't good enough for ROBO COP. He wouldn't pass it and made me bring it back. The dealer had an older Virago with a mph speedo which he installed and I went right back to the same A- hole and said, Pass it thru or have a good reason not to. He was going to hold it back because the odometer had 35,000 miles on it until I said , show me where Dot states it has to read 0 miles. He had to let it thru. It was a pain but at the time I saved about 2,500.00. Worth it to me. Anyway, if you have their number please list it.
Jack
