i just found out today that my stator went out on my banshee. and here i was thinking it was carburetor problems. see it stopped running on me and i thought it wasnt getting gas. hahaha stupid me. anyway my dealer told me it would cost $430 to fix it. sux to be me.

97's seem to be notorious for that. I have seen many of them at the dunes go out. While you have it apart, why not get a higher wattage one put in to see if it will hold up a bit better?

 

Forget about your dealer and get a stator from ricky stator.....you can a 275 watt rewind for a bit under $300....(I think mine was even cheaper than that...you have to send them your old one for a rebuild)

Do the install yourself, and now you have enough power for brighter lights.

 

i ordered a yamaha stator but im gonna keep my old one and have it rewound. i havent ridden in about 4 months and i cant wait to get it back.
