A buddy of mine broke his hand this weekend while riding. He was on our 400EX following me up a fast but tight sand wash (Superstition Mountain for you locals). He said he picked a different line than I did through a tight spot, and probably there was a rock burried under the sand that he didn't see. It caught the left front tire and tried to rip the bars out of his hands. He said it BENT HIS HAND CLEAR BACK ONTO HIS FOREARM (OH THE PAIN!!). Fortunately it was his clutch (not throtle) side, and we just left the bike in 2nd gear and rode him back to camp slowly.

In the past, I have had steering dampers on my bikes, but eventually took them all off. Makes me think about putting them back on!!!
