Default War protestors! at the Boat show??????

I was comming out of Cobo hall and there were about 2000 protestors outside having a rally, the streets were packed with people and cops, me and the wife(and 2 kids) had to cross through all of it to get back to our car,I must say I haven't had to push people out of the way like that in long time. I was holding my 5 year olds hand ,and cutting a swath through the crowd for my wife and 9 year old, it was like old times working at the Bar. it sure is a shame that our country doesn't make it mandatory that you serve in the armed services( for like 2 years) that would really go a long way to changing some peoples tunes. I don't mind letting people have their free speech, but do it on the capital steps or the white house lawn, NOT AT THE BOAT/ MOTOR CYCLE SHOW. all they did was to show how annoying they were. I think they wasted their time doing it where they did. just my two cents.

isn't it strange how people go through this healing process and tend to forget things like 9-11? On 9-12-02, 98% of the USA was ready to do what was necessary to ensure our national security. Now they want to save the world and forget how crooked people like Saddam Hussein really are.

The really sad thing is, the United nations has also gone through this and now wants us to sit back and take a back seat to the inspections in Iraq. WHAT THE HE11 HAPPENED TO THE RESOLUTIONS AFTER THE GULF WAR? Iraq has not been in compliance since then, and now they give them the benefit of the doubt when there are weapons not accounted for. Not to mention that these warheads that they just happened to find. Well, how can a dozen warheads just pop up out of no where. Where are these warheads now? My guess is they are loaded with VX, Sarin, Anthrax, or Nukes by now and pointed at Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Kuwait.

I would like to see the headlines on CNN that there is a "New ATV riding area in the area formerly known as IRAQ"!!!

THe world would be better off if that whole part of the world was gone.As for war with Iraq it is inmy opinion a personal deal with Bush. Our great counrty has no bussiness over there. In our Constitution it doesnt mention that we are the keeper of the whole world. This is just my opinion and I dont care if anyone else agrees with it. Gotta agree with ya Brad. Although that is an unpopular opinion on these forums. Seems like a vendetta to me. We bombed the crap out of Iraq years ago, did it really do any good? We bombed the crap out of Afghanistan, did that do any good either? In both cases, the person we were after is still here. Is bombing them again really gonna fix the problem? What makes anyone think that's the case?

I'd really like to hear some good opinions on this subject. Not necessarily agreeing with me, but at least to show the light. What I hear from people chomping at the bit to go to war, is the company line straight from Bush's mouth. I'm still not convinced.

Would you feel the same if you knew you would be the first to die in this war?

Would you be dying for your country, or George Bush?

This whole Iraq deal should have been handled under Clinton's watch. That's when Iraq told us and the rest of the world to kiss their a$$ and threw the weapons inspector's out of their country, defying all the resolutions that they had previously agreed to. Obviously, Clinton didn't have the stomache to do anything about it, so Bush is going to clean up the mess Slick ***** left behind. More power to him! Although I must admit that their may be a little personal motive also but that's beside the point. When they drug our soldiers through the streets of Somalia, when they bombed the U.S.S Cole and bombed the basement of the World Trade Center the first time. Well! Clinton, again did NOTHING! So let's not blame President Bush for our current state of affairs with Iraq.
FOX NEWS latest poll- 69% of americans favor going to war with Iraq
23% don't with the rest undecided
Of course CNN would like to have everyone believe that the whole country was out their protesting the war. Just my opinion and I don't care if anyone agrees with it either.

You did ask for some good opinions didn't you? Even if they didn't necessarily agree with you, but to at least show the light? That's what your post said. Re- read your post. Try to be a little more careful what you ask for.

Nice try. Air Force 1982-1986 served at RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom. Watched F-111's take off to bomb Quadafi. Willing to die for my country, but NOT for George Bush. Either one of em.

The old man should have ridden us of that menace, don't you think? Kinda crappy blaming that on Clinton.

You haven't posted much to convince me.

Somalia-NOT IRAQ

USS COLE- NOT IRAQ

First bombing of Trade Center-IRAQ????

Your missing the entire pernt there Edith. Not that we shouldn't protect the U.S. Just that we shouldn't be out bombing countries just because the president decides we should.
