Default 400ex Plastics

Hello there. I'm just about to change the plastics on my Honda 400 ex. I fancy a set of black plastics, but I dont know weather to go for, the Maiers or the Fullbores. Does any one have any experience with either. Some pics of black 400ex's would be much appreciated. cheers.

Jake

Jake,

I have stock on mine. I have been thinking of getting some new for a while too. I have a little company that makes a few things ofr 400ex's and I have installed my airboxes on quite a few with Fullbore and Maier plastics. So I have had to deal with both a little. I am not inpressed with the Fullbore at all. It is "good from far , but far from good". Up close the Fullbore has problems that I have seen. They have very thin plastic in the front fender area, they are not finished around the edges very well, the rears are very wobbly, and they are EXPENSIVE. I do admit, I like the look of them from about 10 feet away, but up close they show some problems. I could have seen a few bad sets, so don't take this as Fullbore sucks or anything like that. Those new shiny maier's are looking pretty good. My friend has silver and it looks great. Take it for whats its worth. Good Luck.
Cheers!

I too am trying to decide what to go with. I was leaning toward the Maeir just because it seems like it will work with the headlights which is cool. I thinkk Sandneck just helped me make up my mind...Night rides rock.
Thanks
