A-arm nightmare!
#1
Can anyone tell me who has a good +2" a-arms set up for flat track/TT for my 91 LT-250R? I am going through hell with Burgard's cycle. The set he made me has too much negative camber. He's doing nothing to fix them, and he won't give my money back.
In the mean time, I still need a set of a-arms....... Any ideas?
Thanks!

Aren't they adjustable? Does any one else make them for your machine? I made a set from billet aluminum for my LT 500. I needed to shave weight. She weighs a little! Anyway, they have tons of adjustability and I raced hairscrambles. They stood up pretty good so far. I can e-mail you a picture to give you an idea. prototypeaerospace@wi.rr.com

The uppers are adjustable, but they are cranked out as far as they go. There is still too much negative camber.
A few companies make them, but they only mention flat track/TT to indicate they are lighter in weight. They don't mention being sized correctly for a flat track/TT set up.
If I could do my own billet work, I wouldn't be in here begging for help. I'd still love to see the pictures. Are they in your gallery?

Hey halfliter would you be interested in milling me up a set of a-arms for my 250R if you would/ could that would kick @ss. If you can e-mail me or responde here with some pics of yours and how much $ you'd want to mill a set.
Thanks man, Phish

I would consider making some. The problem is cost. I've never made them for a 250r so I would have a ton time in engineering and testing. If I could sell a few sets it would bring the cost down considerably. For one set it's not worth it. I would like to do it though. I also have to figure out my liability in this lawsuit driven society. There has to be some reason why the aftermarket charges $600 a set. Welded tubes are a lot easier to make than billet. If you really need some thing special e-mail me. I will send you a picture. prototypeaerospace@wi.rr.com

FTZLT250r, if your upper arms have the tubes on the inside for bushings and you just need a little extra length on the upper arms, you can try this: cut the tubes off the ends and weld in threaded inserts to use spherical rod ends. You'll need spacers to center the rod ends in the mounts. The tube inserts will add some length even with the rod ends threaded all the way in.
