Performance mods for a 450 Kodiak???
#1
Well I asked this on a different category but didn't get any replies so I'm going to ask it here...
I'm some what new to the ATV seen, I had a XR400 for a bit but realized I don't have time for two bikes (also have a CBR929RR) and traded the XR for a Kodiak 450. So far I have a 150 miles on it and a ton of fun, I was wondering what performance mods I can make to this quad??? The only pipe I seen for it is the HMF pipe, are they any good?
I know its a utility quad but I want to squeak as much power out of the engine as possible and please no "you should have gotten a Rincon, Grizzly or Prairie." I went for the 450 because its perfect for what I'll use it for but come on why leave it stock?
One more thing, what is involved with the first service? Is it something I can do or should I bring it to the shop, dealer told me it would cost about $100 but never told me what they actually do.
Thanks for the info...

Well thanks for the response I can see this forum is full of useful information. It seems like everyone here is concerned more with what the next Honda sport quad will be or running quads on the road. I thought this was ATV forum where everyone shares the same interest but I guess not this is a "mines better then yours" forum. Maybe if I titles the thread "Which quad is good for outrunning cops" I would have gotten a reply.
I wont be wasting my time here anymore...
