his brother has a 99 ex with a mega max
is that new squared fmf better than mega max?
is it alot louder or quieter??

First off I would let him know that there are alot of pipes out there for almost the same price and maybe better performance. Especially for the 400ex!!!

 

listen closely on past input on pipes. Before you waste money on any pipe, look at past posts in here. personally my choices best to fair is a dmc,big gun,wb e-series and then fmf. Why, I've read so many inputs i regret the e-series, but yet heard about so many fmf's out there disinigrating on the 400's that I've looked in the dunes and around to see what others run. I am somewhat pleased with the "e" but now wished i've dug deeper in my wallet for the dmc full pipe. Also,most aftermarket cycle shops will be glad to push a fmf on you because of the availability. This is however my own, personal opinion.

 

the powercore IV 2 is not nearly as quiet as they make you believe. It is a total disappointment. My friend ordered one and it is way louder than stock. He is going to get the powerbomb header to see if that helps. I was interested in buying one until he started his.
