Ok..im curious..how many out there have done this? winter gets Pretty wild up north here..was thinking i might try some Ski's on the front. Ive seen a DS650 which had this done..but i was looking for any other pics of it..to get an idea of how to set it up..Thanks!

The 4x4 you want? you cannot put skis on a 4wd...they will spin, lol

 

I'm from Saskatchewan, Canada and im getting a new kfx400 next week. when the snow flies, i'm gonna try and put skis on the front . i'm also going to stud the rear tires. my dad had a 250r way back when and he did it and it works awesome he said

 

by the way did you buy the skis as a kit and if so where did you get it, or, did you make them.

 

i havent got ski's yet..im gonna try to find an old set..the new ones would prob work alot better..but they can get pretty pricy!

 

I will probably be mounting up some skis this winter. My friend had them on his ds.

My winter setup:
studded tires all around
realtor rear tires
skis
hotgrips
416(hopefully)

 

I thought of doing that and running some Sand Skate tires but......I found that my V700 ran OK stock rubber in a foot aand 1/2 snow.

I mean there was a lot of spinning initially but I hit about 30-35 mph on the GPS. BUT in a foot and 1/2 I would rather run the sled and hit 80-85 mph!!!
