Rear swingarm bolt (400EX)
I'm trying to remove my engine to hop it up and to fix a transmission problem. I have everything loose except that @#*! rear swingarm bolt that runs through the back of the engine case. I think the little steel spacer is seized up onto the bolt. The nut is off and the entire bolt can turn freely, but I can knock it out. I've sprayed liquid wrench all over it. Will a little propane torch do the trick on that little bushing? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I had a similar problem. Torch will help, plan on buying a new bolt, so don;t worry about messing up the old one. Get all the rubber cps out of the swinger, so they wont melt. Minw was rusted into the motor right int he center. Make sure you are lifitng up on the rear grab bar to take tension off the bolt, I use a strap hooked up to the rafter and lift the rear just barley off the spring. Good Luck. Get A Big Hammer!
