I recently bought the Tecate 4 as a rolling chassis. It came with a complete quadracer 250 motor. I want to keep it all Kawasaki and put either a KX 500 or KLX 650 motor in. Anybody who has any leads on these swaps or websites would be gladley apprciated. Oh and the quadracer motor is for sale

 

Try getting ahold of killerkx327. He has a built KX500 motor in his Tecate

what year is the motor and how much do you want for it

 

It's a 1988 quadracer motor. Has a brand new piston in it. I was told the rest of the motor was rebuilt BUT I don't have reciept's to prove. As for the price $600 canadian(you do the math)for the complete motor electrics and carb.

 

ive heard the kx500 transplant is a pretty easy fit

 

it will probably shake real bad in a quad frame... look into getting the motor counter balanced to cut down the vibration

 

i saw a guy around my area running one that he had bought for 2000.00 already done and that bike runs awesome! ive seen him keep up or beat a very strong 7mm banshee on alky!
