Default Any Crotch Rocket motors in 4 Wheelers?

Does anybody know of places online where there are sites about people putting crotch rocket motors in 4 wheelers? Videos of them would be sweet also.

Thanks!

I was wanting to see some pictures of how the motors fit in the frames and also some video footage of them would be sweet too. Just curious at this point so any info you can provide pics or video wise would be sweet.

What type of motor did you put into what frame?

my cousin ricky owns a quad that we built. it is in a modified raptor frame and it has a yamaha R1 engine in it. the engine has aftermarket cams, wiseco pistons, and NOS nitrous kit. the bike has a custom +12" swingarm and an air shifter. it really has only been taken out once on the road in front of his house so i really couldnt tell you how it runs. as soon as i get a scanner or digi camera i will post some pics. to be honest it really wasnt that hard of an intall just a bit of cutting, welding, and drilling. also this project i think was an absolute waste of time. because once he gets it on the trail probably wont get it out of first or second anyways. these bikes are really just death traps if you ask me the only real use is straight line on a road. so if you are considering doing one of these just build up and banshee or a raptor and save time and money.

If you are building one to trail ride you are nuts or stupid! I ride mine in the dunes and they are great! Just ask the "built" banshee's that try to race...

If I bulit one it wouldn't be for trail riding. I'd rather have a Raptor with a pipe on it (the one I rode had a pipe, gave it a lot of low end grunt) or a 400EX built up to have more torque for trail riding.

I'd one the crotch rocket motored 4 wheeler to go and romp on Banshee's and the such and if I could find dunes in this area I'd use them there also. At the moment this is all just the idea stage, got to get the money and other things together before I can get the toys! :-)

It will work just fine for that! I ride my r or dale to play...The 900 comes out when it's time to go fast up the mtn. But I do have fun doing some mild play riding with it too. If you don't go to wild on swingarm length and put some decent suspension under it you'll be suprised at what it can do.

Did you end up changing the gearing a lot? I noticed a pretty big rear sprocket (sp?) on it if I was looking at the right 4 wheeler in the pics you have up. Did you gear it so it wouldn't have the 170+ top speed? I assume the rear tires being smaller already help out with that but it looks like you changed the gearing on it some too.
